Pushilin invited the head of the LPR to join forces in preparation for the referendum

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, had a telephone conversation with his colleague from the LPR, Leonid Pasechnik. He called for joining the efforts of the administrations of the heads of the DPR and LPR, the apparatus of parliaments to develop steps to start preparing for a referendum on joining Russia.

Pushilin also suggested that Pasechnik give instructions to law enforcement agencies to jointly study security issues. This happened after the appeals of the Public Chambers of the two republics on a referendum on joining the Russian Federation.

Earlier, the Public Chamber of the DPR appealed to Denis Pushilin. He was asked to hold a referendum on the issue of joining the Russian Federation. As stated in the statement, the DPR wants to see a Russian border between the republic and Ukraine.

Prior to this, the Public Chamber of the LPR also turned to the head of its republic, Leonid Pasechnik. He was called upon to hold a referendum on reunification with the Russian Federation as soon as possible.

Meanwhile, the editor-in-chief of RT Margarita Simonyan expressed her point of viewthat an immediate referendum in the LPR and other areas where hostilities are taking place would allow Russia to go “all in” according to the “Crimean scenario”.
