Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, at a meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin, commented on reports that Yevgeny Prigozhin and the commanders of the Wagner PMC were killed in a plane crash with a business jet in the Tver region.
“We took this situation with concern and great empathy,” Pushilin said.
He noted that the fighters of PMC “Wagner” fought for Artemovsk in the Donetsk People’s Republic.
Pushilin also expressed confidence that experts will understand the causes of the disaster.
Recall that the Investigative Committee is investigating a criminal case on violation of traffic safety rules and the operation of air transport following the crash of a private Embraer Legacy aircraft near the village of Kuzhenkino in the Tver region on Wednesday. Officially, the death of Yevgeny Prigozhin has not been confirmed, since the bodies of all ten dead have been sent for DNA testing. According to the Federal Air Transport Agency, Yevgeny Prigozhin and Wagner PMC commander Dmitry Utkin were on the passenger lists.
