Pushilin announced the transfer of almost all soldiers wounded in Makiivka to other regions

Most of the military personnel injured during the shelling in Makeevka of the DPR were sent for treatment to other regions of Russia, wrote Acting Head of the Republic Denis Pushilin in his Telegram channel.

According to Pushilin, he visited the wounded servicemen who are housed in hospitals in the Rostov region and the DPR, together with Deputy Defense Minister Viktor Goremykin and Governor of the Samara region Dmitry Azarov.

“The doctors said that the wounded began to arrive very quickly after the incident, thanks to which they were able to provide emergency medical care in a timely manner. Almost everyone has already been transferred to other regions of Russia,” he added.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine attacked Makiivka on New Year’s Eve, the servicemen were in the building of the local vocational school, wrote TASS. According to an agency source in the law enforcement agencies of the DPR, the reason for the strike could be the active use of cell phones by the military.

The Ministry of Defense on the eve reported that 89 people were killed during the strike of the Ukrainian military on Makiivka. First Deputy Chief of the Main Military-Political Directorate of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant-General Sergei Sevryukov, in his statement confirmed the information that on January 1 at 0.01 Moscow time, six HIMARS rockets were fired by artillery of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but two shells were intercepted by air defense. The rest got into the building where the Russian servicemen were stationed.

Currently, the commission of the defense department finds out the circumstances of the incident.
