Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut) is close to the operational environment. This was announced by the Acting Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin at the opening ceremony of the first semi-final of the personnel competition “Revival Leaders. Donetsk People’s Republic, transmits TASS.

“According to Artemovsk, we can say that the situation, if not close to completion, then to the operational environment, which the Wagner PMC units located there are now striving for,” he said.

According to Pushilin, the fighters of the PMC “Wagner” are moving forward “both day and night.” The acting head of the DPR noted that after the liberation of the settlement of Kleshcheevka near Artemovsk, “new horizons are opening up there and <...> drastic improvement in positions.

Earlier today, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported about the capture of Kleshcheevka by the Russian military. On the eve, January 19, about this told founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin. According to him, Kleshcheevka “is one of the important suburbs” of Artemovsk. At the same time, the Ministry of Defense spoke about the liberation of the Lobkove settlement in the Zaporozhye region.

According to Pushilin, this increases the chances for the liberation of Artemovsk and Seversk, and also makes it possible to destroy the front line. Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation at the end of September, the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions became part of Russia.
