Denis Pushilin, acting head of the DPR, said on air on the RBC TV channel that it was impossible to conduct peace negotiations with Ukraine after the attack on the center of Donetsk on Thursday, which became the largest since 2014.
“Seriously speaking, it makes no sense even to talk about any agreements with Kyiv,” he said.
Pushilin also called Kyiv dependent, and count on the guarantors of agreements “is not possible.” He cited as an example the statement of former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who actually confessed to her actions aimed at non-fulfillment of the Minsk agreements.
As for the United States, according to Pushilin, Washington is satisfied with both this conflict and Europe’s gradual loss of its economic potential.
“Therefore, there is no one to negotiate with, here you only need to win,” he said, adding that he sees no other options to stop the shelling.
Pushilin added that as a result of the shelling of Donetsk, two people were killed and 16 people were injured, including a child born in 2012.
