Pupils of the Vorobyovy Gory Lyceum won three medals at the International Iranian Olympiad in Geometry

Students of the Moscow Lyceum “Sparrow Hills” Sergey Mukhanov and Dmitry Komin won gold medals at the IX International Iranian Geometry Olympiad. Another student of the Lyceum – Grigory Pistunov became the silver medalist of the competition.
According to the organizers of the Olympiad, more than 8.3 thousand schoolchildren from 50 countries of the world participated remotely in it. In Russia, the sites on which the participants were based were located in Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kazan, Kirov, Krasnodar, Kurgan, Moscow, Novosibirsk, Saransk, Saratov, Tyumen, Dolgoprudny and the Sirius Center (Sochi).
The tasks were divided into three levels of difficulty: “Beginner” – for students in grades 8, “Continuing” – for children from 9-10 grades, and “Professional” – for students in grades 11 and, where available, students in grades 12 classes.
The guys, speaking in the first age category, solved problems for four hours, for those who represented the second and third age categories, four and a half hours were allotted for solving problems. For each correctly solved problem, the participant of the Olympiad received 8 points, additional points were awarded by the jury for the original solution of the problem.
