Pupils of the Sochi sports school became winners of the All-Russian Leather Ball tournament

This year, students from sports school No. 7 in Sochi became winners of the All-Russian Leather Ball tournament. This is the first gold in the history of Sochi athletes at this major competition, the press service of the Sochi administration reports.

The guys became part of the great sports history of Russia, getting carried away by playing in the Leather Ball tournament, which has been held for more than half a century. In the final, they adequately represented the Krasnodar region, without conceding a single goal.

Currently, about six thousand people play football in Sochi sections – this is almost three times more than in 2019. We are creating more and more opportunities for the development of children’s and youth sports. Over the past four years, 20 football fields have been opened in Sochi for programs of all levels, and dozens more fields are planned in the future, according to the new General Plan.

The head of the city of Sochi, Alexey Kopaygorodsky, wholeheartedly congratulated the young citizens on this important achievement and wished them beautiful games and bright victories.
