Psychologist Lyudmila Petranovskaya was asked to check for discrediting the army and foreign funding

Vitaly Borodin, head of the Federal Project for Security and Anti-Corruption, turned to the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation with a request to check the family psychologist Lyudmila Petranovskaya for discrediting the Russian army (Article 280.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and obtaining foreign funding. Ms. Petranovskaya, commenting on this information, said that “so far this is just an initiative of some comrade,” but she admitted that “the process will go on.”

“I understand that all this can seriously impede my work and our communication with you. It will be a pity. But there are situations when you can only say one thing: I can’t do otherwise, ”wrote Lyudmila Petranovskaya in her Telegram channel. She later added that now she is “not directly threatened by anything.”

Vitaly Borodin’s appeal was reported Telegram channel Mash. According to him, Mr. Borodin said that Lyudmila Petranovskaya had supported Ukraine since 2014, assuring that “there is no threat to the Russian language”, and in 2022 she “sharply condemned” the start of a special military operation. In addition, he claims that the activities of the psychologist were financed by the branches of the British Charity Foundation and the American Amway. In this regard, he called for her to be included in the register of foreign agents.

Lyudmila Petranovskaya has been dealing with the psychological problems of orphanhood and adoption for more than 20 years. She, in particular, worked with foster parents in Ukraine. Commenting on Vitaly Borodin’s statement, she explained that her position in relation to the special operation is related to how what is happening will affect Russian and Ukrainian families, the number of orphans and children with a “broken childhood.” “And no ‘foreign funds’ have anything to do with this,” she concluded.

Vitaly Borodin has repeatedly appealed to the Prosecutor General’s Office and other departments with a request to check various Russian figures for a number of administrative and criminal violations. So, he asked to initiate checks against Liya Akhedzhakova, Alla Pugacheva, Semyon Slepakov (recognized as a foreign agent), Diana Arbenina, Valery Meladze, Danila Kozlovsky.
