Protesters in Berlin call for lifting sanctions against Russia

In Berlin on Saturday, supporters of the right-wing Alternative for Germany (AfD) party gathered outside the Bundestag building in Berlin to protest high prices and call for sanctions against Russia to be lifted.
Police estimated that 8,000 people took part in the action. On the posters of the protesters – the slogans “First of all – our country”, “I want Russian oil and gas.”
The protesters demanded to stop the supply of weapons to Ukraine and advocated peace talks to end the conflict in Ukraine.
In his speeches, one of the AfD leaders accused the German government of “war against its own people” due to the negative impact of anti-Russian sanctions and called for the resignation of Economy Minister Robert Habek and his fellow party members.
