“Pros”: 78% of Russians opposed the reduction of working hours

On weekends, 89% of specialists work in Russia, follows from a survey of the Profi service, which Kommersant got acquainted with. 44% of respondents explained their overtime by the desire to increase income. 78.1% of Russians would not like to work less than now.
It follows from the materials of the study that 18.4% of the respondents were in favor of reducing the length of the working day while maintaining income. 62.3% of respondents want to increase the duration of work. However, only 15.8% are satisfied with the work schedule. On non-working days, only 4.7% of specialists have a rest. Most of all, car repair specialists work on weekends – 82%.
As a reason for processing, 44% of respondents named the desire to increase income. Another 36% of specialists work in excess of the norm due to responsibility to clients. 12.9% of Russians answered that they just like to work hard.
In Russia, according to labor law, working hours are no more than 40 hours. On March 28, State Duma deputy Svetlana Bessarabova proposed to reduce the working week from 40 to 36 hours. Russian trade unions supported the idea of reducing the working week, but only on the condition that the salaries of specialists remain the same.
