The nationalized property of the former President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko in Crimea will be sold at auction, as well as the property of other Ukrainian politicians, said the head of the region Sergey Aksyonov.

The governor said on the air of the TV channel “Russia 24”that the authorities of the republic nationalized sanatorium complexes, production enterprises of major Ukrainian politicians, including ex-President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and former Deputy Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk. “There are a lot of interesting objects, so I think there will be enough money … Everything will be sold at the auction, without exception,” Aksenov said.

According to him, now the authorities of the region are engaged in their inventory and valuation. All proceeds are planned to be used for the needs of the special operation and the social sphere.

In October last year, the State Council of Crimea adopted a law on the possibility of nationalizing the property of unfriendly foreign states and their citizens. At the moment, more than one and a half hundred real estate objects have been nationalized in the region, including the apartment of the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in the elite residential complex “Imperator” in the village of Livadia, as well as a number of enterprises, factories, large shopping centers and shops that previously belonged to Ukrainian owners.
