Promes was sentenced in Amsterdam to 6 years in prison for cocaine smuggling

A court in Amsterdam sentenced Spartak Moscow football player Quincy Promes to six years in prison for smuggling more than 1,350 kg of cocaine, reports De Telegraaf. Prosecutors had requested a nine-year prison sentence for Promes.
The footballer was not present at the trial; he is now at a training camp with Spartak in the UAE. 32-year-old Quincy Promes has been playing for Spartak since 2021. Before that, he played for the Moscow club from 2014 to 2018.
Prosecutor’s office believesthat the football player acted as the head of the network. Allegedly, under his leadership, more than a ton of narcotic substances were imported into the Netherlands. Previously, Promes also received a year and a half in prison for stabbing his cousin
