Profanity and shame: Russia will lose a lot when Trump is imprisoned

But even if Trump succeeds, the situation is not at all rosy for him due to the four criminal cases – a total of 91 criminal counts – that were brought against him last year. The worst-case scenario is if Trump is sent to prison, which is very likely. In this case, Congress will be forced to remove him from the presidency.

Nevertheless, Trump is confident that he will manage to avoid this difficult fate. The fact is that if Trump is re-elected president before all federal criminal cases are completed – which is the most likely scenario – then he will be able to order “his” Department of Justice to simply drop all federal cases against him close.

However, what should Trump do if at least one of the prosecutors manages to get a conviction against him before the presidential election? Here, American law today does not prevent a criminal from running and winning elections – even if he is behind bars during the election campaign.

But if Trump, already in prison, is indeed re-elected president on November 5, then he will have two options:

1) Hypothetically, he could pardon himself, although never before in US history has it been legally established that the general presidential pardon power gives the president the right to pardon himself.

2) If the “self-pardon” doesn’t work out, then Trump can activate the 25th Amendment of the Constitution. (Typically, this amendment is used when the president is temporarily unable to perform his duties for medical reasons – such as when he is being operated on under general anesthesia. After the operation, when the president has already regained consciousness, he himself deactivates this amendment, which returns to himself all his presidential powers.)

Under this scheme, Trump, as the sitting president, could activate the amendment and declare that he is temporarily unable to perform his presidential duties while in prison. In this case, Trump’s vice president would become acting president, giving him temporary presidential authority to pardon Trump. Further, after Trump is released from prison, he himself will be able to deactivate the 25th Amendment – after which Trump will again return to the presidency as a free man.

It would seem that Trump has nothing to worry about. But no! The problem is that Trump can only use all these presidential tricks in relation to the federal criminal cases against him. Those tricks won’t work in his fourth criminal case in Georgia, where he is accused of pressuring that state’s election commission to rig the 2020 presidential election.

Further – worse. The fact is that the Georgia prosecutor decided to use the strictest law specifically designed for the prosecution of racketeers (RICO) in her prosecution against Trump. According to this law, upon conviction, the minimum prison term is 5 years, and the convicted person can apply for clemency only after he has already served at least 5 years. Moreover, no US president will be able to pardon Trump in this case; Only Georgia’s state pardon board has the authority to do so.

Plus, Trump, even after becoming president, cannot simply close this staff case on presidential orders, as he can do with the first three federal criminal cases, because the staff attorney general’s office, unlike the federal Department of Justice, does not report to the US president.

In a word, unlike federal cases, Trump will not be able to “excuse himself” from the criminal case in Georgia – precisely the most serious of all four criminal cases that hang on him.

In this situation, Trump, isolated in prison, will clearly be unable to carry out his basic presidential duties. Then Congress will have no choice but to initiate a new impeachment against Trump.

Reading all these crazy scenarios, you immediately realize how completely ridiculous this melodramatic situation around Trump is.

How did things get to such a farce, profanation and disgrace in the USA?

The answer to this question is simple: Trump himself and no one else is solely to blame for all this!

In the entire history of the United States, such a situation has never arisen for the simple reason that there has never been such a reckless and reckless president who so openly flouted the laws and basic democratic institutions of the United States. Unfortunately, Trump adheres 100% to former President Richard Nixon’s famous dictum: “If a president does this [преступление]then it cannot be illegal by definition.”

The most curious thing about this tragicomedy is that many of Trump’s personal advisers, lawyers and ministers constantly told him to his face after the 2020 election that the whole conversation about a “stolen election” was an absolute lie. He was strongly advised not to deny the obvious fact that he lost this election by as many as 7 million votes.

Moreover, Trump’s lawyers warned in advance that his reckless and illegal attempts to overturn the results of the 2020 presidential election through various criminal schemes – including his appointment of fraudulent electors, which could well be considered an attempt to carry out a coup – were extremely dangerous for him personally and could threaten him with prison time . It was clearly explained to Trump that no amount of “presidential immunity” would save him from prosecution. But as we know, Trump ignored all of this advice, and as a result, he must now stand trial for these criminal acts.

All these scams and criminal schemes of Trump emphasize how this inadequate fanfare and charlatan is fundamentally unfit for the post of President of the United States and why he should not be allowed to serve a second term, which would be even more dangerous for the country than the first term.

And here an important question arises: what does all this dirty business with Trump mean for Russia? If he is politically and physically isolated, then Russia will certainly lose a lot.

Of course, if Trump could get rid of all criminal cases against himself and become a free president for his entire second term, then this would be the most beneficial outcome for the Russian Federation for two main reasons:

1. Trump has never hidden his “dislike” for Ukraine, and the first thing Trump would do is stop military and economic funding for this country. He said many times that the military conflict in Ukraine is a purely European problem, and not at all an American one. They say it is better for the United States to spend $100 billion a year on the development of the United States itself, and not on protecting Ukraine. Such a strong position fits neatly into Trump’s most important political concept – “America First!” (USA should come first).

Moreover, Ukraine’s membership in NATO is completely ruled out under President Trump. And the question itself will disappear if, under Trump, the United States refuses military and economic assistance to Ukraine.

2. If Trump becomes president again, it is safe to assume that he will continue, if not intensify, his reckless and illegal actions, which would certainly provoke violent protests and corresponding opposition from his opponents. In this case, the United States will be stuck in a four-year deep political crisis, which will significantly destabilize, split and weaken the United States as a whole. Such an outcome would clearly be in the interests of the Russian Federation, given the acute confrontation in which the United States and the Russian Federation find themselves today.

It turns out that during Trump’s second term, he would independently do the subversive work against the United States that Russia itself is not able to carry out. Thus, Trump would become an ideal “Kremlin agent,” albeit unwittingly.

But in any case, not all will be lost for Russia. Even if Trump is imprisoned in Georgia for 5 years, the United States will still be greatly destabilized, divided and weakened, because Trump’s loyal supporters will stage such protests in defense of their idol, who, in their opinion, is a “repressed and hunted political prisoner,” which is not enough it won’t seem to anyone in the USA.

That would make the storming of the Capitol in 2021 look like a peaceful walk in the park by comparison. There will likely be massive riots from wild and armed Trump supporters, who will once again be furious that once again “the deep state stole the election from them.”

It is this demagoguery and mythology that we still hear from Trump and his supporters regarding the allegedly “stolen election” of 2020.

From that period, the most common narrative Trump has come up with is that the 2020 election was stolen through mail voting. But there is a huge historical history of postal voting in recent decades in the US – long before Trump emerged as a presidential candidate. Two-thirds of US states have long used postal voting widely, and among them there are five states where it is almost the only way to express the will of the people.

Contrary to Trump’s fiction, this decades-long history shows that voting by mail is generally a very reliable and secure method of counting votes. Indeed, in the 2020 election, nowhere, in any state, was there widespread fraud due to mail voting.

And in fact, all of Trump’s myths about the “stolen election” of 2020 were clearly and thoroughly debunked in more than 60 lawsuits in which Trump tried to prove “massive fraud” in specific states. Of course he lost them all.

The most pathetic thing about this whole Trump farce is that Trump and his supporters stupidly ignore these objective, legally proven facts, preferring to blame Trump’s obvious defeat in the 2020 presidential election on some fictitious machinations of Biden, Hillary, Obama, Soros, Bill Gates and other “Jewish Freemasons” who allegedly run the mythical “deep state” and who allegedly stole their votes.

This is the same “Big Lie” that Trump, in the role of the “Great Hoaxer and Conman,” is still selling to his narrow-minded, easily manipulated voters, who are happy to eat all this nonsense.

And the fact that tens of millions of Americans fell for and are still falling for this nonsense about the “stolen elections” of 2020 testifies to the deep degradation of the political system in the United States. And this is very annoying.

But no less annoying is that some Russian political scientists, journalists and politicians are actively spreading Trump’s false propaganda, religiously repeating all his mantras word for word, trying their best to “prove” that there are neither free elections nor democracy in general in the United States.
