Pro-Palestinian protesters tried to disrupt Chanel show in Britain

The show of the Chanel fashion house in Manchester was almost disrupted by the behavior of local residents who tried in every possible way to disrupt public order and sometimes demonstrated antisocial behavior, the British press writes.

The first scandal occurred when residents of the surrounding houses were asked to dim the lights in their apartments and not crowd on the balconies of their houses – the show took place on the street. Many locals were extremely unhappy with this request and were in no hurry to fulfill it.

After the police set up barriers around the venue of the fashion show, another group of citizens violated the order. DM writes that a group of pro-Palestinian activists arrived at the borders of the site, waving flags and shouting: “From the river to the sea” (continued – “Palestine will be free”). The phrase is considered sharply anti-Israel, as it can be perceived as a call for the destruction of the Israeli state, located between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea.

It is indicated that in addition to the shouts of the pro-Palestinian crowd, the fashionable event was disturbed by the noise coming from the bars located in the area, where Manchester residents noisily whiled away the time over beer.

DM notes that the show in Manchester of a collection of a top brand, which usually chooses venues in world fashion capitals like London and Paris, was due to the desire of the fashion house to emphasize the cultural features of the city.
