Private security companies will be able to use anti-drone systems – Kommersant

Private security organizations (PSCs) that have passed the selection of the Russian Guard will be able to use the Anti-UAV Systems. Such amendments are being developed by the second reading of the bill on protection against drones in all areas. This was announced by the chairman of the IT committee of the State Duma Alexander Khinshtein.

“Systems to counter drones can only be used by law enforcement agencies, departmental security structures, as well as private security organizations that will pass the appropriate selection of the Russian Guard,” Mr. Khinshtein wrote in his Telegram channel.

Alexander Khinshtein added that he considers it premature to grant similar powers to industry organizations. In his opinion, only those who have the necessary training and qualifications should use anti-drone systems.

In May, the State Duma accepted in the first reading, a bill that will allow law enforcement officers to stop the movement of any unmanned vehicles. It is proposed to stop the movement of drones through destruction, damage or suppression.
