Private producers of agricultural products will have access to preferential loans

Additional state support will be received by the owners of personal subsidiary plots (PSP), which are engaged in the production of agricultural products. This was announced by Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Victoria Abramchenko.

Owners of household plots are planned to be included in the list of borrowers who can receive preferential loans for agricultural production. To take advantage of this support measure, private producers need to obtain self-employed status.

In 2022, self-employed household plot owners have already received access to benefits and subsidies provided to agricultural producers. In particular, through state support, they can compensate for the costs of expanding the production of vegetables grown in the open field, potatoes and milk, as well as the development of beef cattle breeding, sheep breeding and goat breeding.

The new support measure, according to the vice-premier, will help owners of household plots to increase production volume and expand the sales market for products.

“Our task is to grow medium-sized ones from small private farms. Already today, according to the Ministry of Agriculture, personal subsidiary plots provide up to 50% of the collection of certain types of vegetables. The new support measure will make it possible to involve the products produced by citizens in the production chains of agricultural producers and processing enterprises, and, therefore, to increase the scale of private household plots themselves, ”quotes Victoria Abramchenko Interfax.

In addition, the involvement of private producers in the mechanism of concessional lending and integration into production chains will contribute to the transparency of their business and will become an additional incentive to comply with the necessary product quality requirements.

By the way, by data Rosstat, in 2021, private farms put on the market 25.5% of all agricultural products produced in our country. State support should further increase this share.

“All these measures together will serve as an incentive for the accelerated growth of the agro-industrial complex,” Victoria Abramchenko believes.
