A prisoner of war of the Ukrainian army, Edward Kharenko, reported that there was a decrease in morale in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine due to heavy losses. The video of the conversation was published by the Russian Ministry of Defense.
“There were 100 of us, and less than half remained. What can be the fighting spirit and state after that? I have no idea what is going on there now,” said the Ukrainian prisoner of war.
During the conversation, he said that he studied for four days, and during this time he did not receive sufficient knowledge. According to Kharenko, during the fighting, he expected the same chaos in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
He said he was wounded in a Russian mortar attack. Because of the strike on Ukrainian positions, a “complete mess” began: some tried to shoot back, others called for support.
