Primorsky Krai established an award for participants in a special operation in Ukraine

The new award “Hero of Primorye” was established at a meeting of the Legislative Assembly of the Primorsky Territory today, December 19. The badge of special distinction will be awarded to servicemen from this region who distinguished themselves during a special military operation in Ukraine. He announced this in his Telegram channel Governor of the region Oleg Kozhemyako.
“Together with the award, the heroes will receive 1 million rubles. I am sure that such recognition and encouragement from the native land will be a good measure of support for distinguished fighters. They deserve it,” said the head of the region.
Also, according to him, the deputies made several changes to regional laws to support the participants in the military conflict in Ukraine and their families. Thus, the list of citizens who will be able to receive free legal assistance to represent their interests in courts includes family members of military personnel, mobilized and volunteers who died or were declared missing. In addition, family members of SVO participants receiving vocational education will be provided with food at the expense of the regional budget. The same measure of support is provided for the children of servicemen who died, went missing or became disabled during a military operation.
