Primorsky “Admiral” in a bitter struggle took revenge for the defeat in Nizhnekamsk

The first match of the double series in Vladivostok ended with the score 4:3

Well, the offender of the “Admiral” – “Neftekhimik”, came to Vladivostok to sort things out to the end. Recall that the previous match ended with the victory of the “wolves” with a minimum advantage of one puck. There was too little time to forget and forgive, so the Nizhnekamsk team was looked forward to in Primorye with special impatience – the match promised to be hot, even despite the last days of autumn and rain and snow.

This meeting is the first of the double matches that the teams will have to hold in the capital of the Far East and the second this week. On Monday in Nizhnekamsk “Admiral” did not look the best – apparently acclimatization took its toll, but before the game on Friday the team had four days of rest, during which the “sailors” had to have time to rest and recover. Before the match, Leonid Tambiev “reassembled” the team and put Nikita Serebryakov in the goal, which, in theory, was supposed to strengthen the last line of defense.

Neftekhimik also had enough changes, but the coaching staff did not change the goalkeeper who had a dry match in Nizhnekamsk – they don’t look for good. “Admiral” started this meeting very actively and immediately tested Andrei Tikhomirov for strength. The defense was holding on for the time being, but looking at the “sailors” driven by the roar of the stands, it was clear that this was not for long. At the 11th minute, the opponent’s defenders made a mistake – the puck was intercepted by the Admiral’s attacking link, Gleb Zyryanov rolled out to the nickel and, after a pause, aesthetically scored the first goal in this game.

In fact, the viscous hockey of Primorye, who can play to keep the score in the league, is known, but this time it didn’t work out. At the 15th minute, Vladislav Leontiev gets the puck after a face-off won by Neftekhimik in the Admiral zone and shoots sniper from under the defenders. The projectile ricochets off Hunter Shinkaruk and flies into the gate. Serebryakov almost did not see the puck – it was closed by the players.

But this is not the end yet, on 18 minutes in the middle zone, the defender of Neftekhimik releases the puck too far from himself, it is intercepted by Evgeny Grachev, goes to the opponents’ goal and passes the ball to Danil Fayzullin, who is rolling from the other flank – a goal. “Admiral” again takes the lead. Three abandoned goals and this is only the end of the first period and it is clear that the guests will try to win back and they have plenty of time for this.

The second period, 25 minutes, and Nizhnekamsk players again compare. Ilya Fedotov and Vyacheslav Leshchenko conduct a successful counterattack from their own goal – 2:2. As they say – this song is good, start over. On 33 minutes, Ilya Khokhlov gave Admiral two minutes in the majority by going to the penalty box for delaying the opponent with a stick, but he stayed there for only 35 seconds. The majority was implemented by Michal Krysztof.

In the third period, the players of both teams apparently were very worried about the outcome of the match, as a result, a lot of marriage, a lot of power struggle and not very many dangerous moments. It was clear that as soon as the guests were given a chance, they would gladly take advantage of it, but so far Neftekhimik played too predictably – entering the zone, throwing. Not the most difficult task that Nikita Serebryakov had to solve. This was followed by another loss in the middle zone, a counterattack by Admiral and another goal. Nikolai Eliseev scored on 47 minutes.

The guests had to score what is called blood from the nose. A little over three minutes before the final siren, Neftekhimik’s coaching staff seat their goalkeeper on the bench, releasing the sixth field player on the ice, and this is bearing fruit. At the 38th minute Andrey Chivilev returns his team to the game. Tikhomirov rolls out onto the court again, the Wolves carry out the final assault, hoping to send the game into overtime and shoot the goalkeeper again. Fortunately for the Primorye, this did not work. The result – the victory of “Admiral” in a very difficult match with a score of 4:3.

– Some hockey players did not have enough concentration in certain episodes of the match. Hence the mistakes that the opponent took advantage of. It is necessary to collect the whole team to go out, then there will be a positive result. If one person falls out… Hockey is a team sport, the result depends on everyone. We fought to the end, tried to save the match, a little bit was not enough. In some moments they threw a lot, but did not close the visibility of the goalkeeper. “Admiral” takes revenge in the mini-series, which cannot but please his coaching staff, especially when “Salavat Yulaev”, who is fifth in the standings, is breathing down his neck.

They have a lot of creative players in their roster, it is difficult to defend against such an opponent, to take the puck away. You can beat such a team with only four goals, less is not enough.
