In Kazakhstan, the results of the excavations of the burial mounds Uzynagash 1 and 2, located in the foothill zone of the Zailiysky Alatau ridge, have been summed up.

Candidate of Historical Sciences, head of the Kazakhstan Paleolithic detachment of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences Dmitry Ozherelyev said WGthat these sites are the easternmost point on the map of Eurasia, marking the spread of cultures with a stone industry of the “Aurignacoid” type, as in France.

Archaeologists have found not one, but many sites of primitive stone tools and hearths deepened into the ground, a pit for baking food. Here, primitive hunters added bulls, aurochs, argali, mountain goats, and saigas. Woolly rhinos and mammoths also came here.

30 thousand years ago the climate in Kazakhstan was humid, winters were inconspicuous and mild. It was the interglacial period, the last warm period before the last cooling maximum.
