Kommersant Style has compiled a gallery of celebrities who look much younger than their actual age and asked experts how they manage it.

Women and men over 50 are increasingly attracting attention: not only for their leadership in the professional environment (look at the leading roles in top TV series), but also for the way they look. The most common and natural question is “how do they do it?” We forwarded it to the specialists – and here are the answers we received.

“I would highlight two points: one physical, the other psychological. The physical one is as follows: all the stars have had tremendous opportunities for many years, accordingly, they have all the top technologies at hand to keep themselves in great shape, and by the age of 50 they have been taking care of themselves for a long time. And now the trend is that the person himself is the main asset, the main value. They sell themselves, they are public people, and their success depends on how cool they look and feel. The second point is psychological: most likely, they are all in contact with young guys who do not allow them to fall out of context, because it is clear that by 50 you have every chance of falling out of time, you remain in the paradigm of your 30s, and you need make an effort to understand the jokes of young people, to understand the thoughts of young people. And it’s obvious to me that all these stars are very in context (the same Pharrell Williams or J.Lo), and this certainly supports them too – this emotional moment, the feeling of how you feel time, very seriously affects how you are looking”.

“Hollywood pilot season is in full swing, and we can see from numerous red carpet photos how much younger our favorite artists have become. The toned contours of Demi Moore, Brad Pitt and even Kelly Osbourne remind us that we no longer need to use facial fillers. Acupressure combined with injections of polylactic acid and hexapeptides did their job: the stars no longer look “chopped.” Modern photography does not forgive even the slightest wrinkles, and we see how the quality of the skin of stars has noticeably changed. The top 5 procedures included: photodynamic therapy, needle multimodal RF lifting, PLA mesotherapy (collagen stimulator), meso-Botox and PDRT injections (which is obtained from salmon fish seed). You need to start preparing your skin for an event two to three months before the event, since all these techniques are associated with stimulating your own collagen. This time is enough to significantly reduce the number of fine wrinkles, remove visible pores on the face and rejuvenate the neck and décolleté area.”

“Many women over 50, not just celebrities, look even better today than they did 10 or 15 years ago, and this is already taken for granted. Of course, the popularization of proper nutrition, sports and biohacking (in its healthy manifestations) played a big role, but dramatic changes still coincided with the breakthrough opportunities of therapeutic cosmetology.

If there have been no revolutions in plastic surgery as such (although many operations have indeed become more advanced and delicate), then a new vector has appeared in cosmetology, aimed at the quality of the skin and that very “glow” that, for example, Jennifer Lopez or Salma Hayek are famous for. A similar effect is achieved using the latest hardware and injection technologies of the last decade, which maintain the structure and youth of the skin at the cellular level. Another reason why professional skin care has reached a new level is the collegial approach. When a gynecologist-endocrinologist and gastroenterologist help us deal with pigmentation and age-related changes, and in some cases with nasolabial folds and an “imperfect” chin, an orthodontist helps us.

I would also note qualitative changes in the compositions of professional lines of cosmeceutical products. Peptides, phytoestrogens, retinol, hyaluronic acid – they all work great to prevent aging and help prolong the effects of professional procedures. Here, as in sports: the sooner you start pumping up your abs, the better. Therefore, you should start taking care of the quality of your skin after the age of 20. UV protection also plays a vital role in this. As Jennifer Lopez herself says, she has been applying SPF cream every day since she was 20 years old. By the way, her generation is the first to become concerned about this at the right time. The result is obvious.”
