Prime Minister of Poland complained about the impossibility of repairing Leopard tanks

Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki expressed concern about the impossibility of opening a center for the repair of German Leopard tanks. He told reporters that the launch of a repair center in Poland is currently impossible, since there are no spare parts for combat vehicles.
Earlier, Poland’s permanent representative to NATO, Tomasz Shatkowski, said that Poland and Germany plan to establish a joint center for the repair of Leopard tanks that were damaged on the battlefield in Ukraine. The new enterprise is supposed to be located in the city of Gliwice, in the south of Poland. In addition, Shatkovsky noted that Poland also hopes to become a maintenance center for American Abrams tanks.
However, Morawiecki stressed that there are certain questions from the Polish arms group. Warsaw is waiting for appropriate decisions from Germany. At this stage, the main problem is the lack of spare parts. Under such conditions, it is difficult to talk about carrying out repair work on these tanks.
The Prime Minister of Poland stressed that the country is interested in having its own Leopard tank repair and maintenance center. He confirmed that Poland is striving to create such a center together with Germany and Ukraine.
Earlier on Monday, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the Russian Armed Forces had destroyed 920 armored vehicles, including 16 Leopard tanks, in the Donbass and Zaporozhye region over the past month.
