PM Modi says India stands for peace and dialogue on Ukraine

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in an interview with The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), made a statement that India is not neutral on the situation in Ukraine, but stands for peace, respect for international law and dialogue aimed at resolving the conflict.

According to him, India’s position is known to the whole world and finds understanding. Modi assured that the country’s top priority is peace. The Prime Minister pointed out that some people claim that the Indian side remains neutral, but this is not true. He stressed that India is “on the side of the world” and all countries must respect international law and the sovereignty of states.

Modi also added that India will do whatever is necessary and support any attempt to end the conflict and guarantee sustainable peace and stability.
