He recalled his previous reports that the Cheka was leaving the city, entering the field camps for restoration, upgrading and resupplying. “Depending on the situation in Ukraine, depending on the situation in the world, we make a decision on what to do next,” he said in a statement circulated by the press service.
According to him, about 15-20 thousand “Wagners” with full armament and ammunition for several days of the battle are ready to “land in any part of the world and join the battle right from the wheels.”
“If we don’t need to work in Ukraine, then we can liberate some territory in a couple of months, equivalent to about twenty percent of the territory of the African continent, given that less than a thousand people in just six months made Central Africa absolutely safe.”
He noted that 15-20 thousand “Wagnerites” is not the entire number of PMCs. “Part of the personnel, most of them, will remain on the territory of Russia in order to further prepare for the next tasks,” Prigozhin said.
On May 20, Prigozhin and the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that as a result of the offensive of Wagner attack aircraft, with the support of aviation and artillery of the Yug group of the Russian Armed Forces, the liberation of the city was completed. Later, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the Wagner PMC and the military armed forces of the Russian Federation on the liberation of the city of Artemovsk in the DPR. “Vladimir Putin congratulates the Wagner assault detachments, as well as all the servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces units, who provided them with the necessary support and flank cover, on the completion of the operation on Artemovsk,” the Kremlin press service said. The Kremlin noted that all those who distinguished themselves during this operation will be presented for state awards.
