Prigozhin, the founder of Wagner PMC, announced the beginning of the transfer of positions in Artemovsk to Kadyrov
The creator of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin, according to his press service, is already contacting representatives of the head of the Chechen Republic Ramzan Kadyrov to transfer positions in Artemovsk to Chechen fighters.
“I thank Ramzan Akhmatovich for agreeing, having, most likely, the opportunity to obtain everything necessary and all the necessary resources, to stand in Bakhmut (the Ukrainian name for Artemovsk) in our positions,” the press service quotes Prigozhin.
According to him, he is already contacting Kadyrov’s representatives, “in order to start transferring positions immediately, so that on May 10, at 00.00,” Akhmat special forces forces would take the places of the Wagnerites.
Prigozhin noted that he would transfer the positions “exactly at the moment when, according to our calculations, we will completely exhaust our combat potential.” And he expressed confidence that the Akhmat fighters would continue the assault on the city, where, according to him, “a little more than two square kilometers remained under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.” He also expressed the hope that Artemovsk “will be taken, no doubt, by the forces of Akhmat.”
Earlier, Prigozhin said that the Wagner group would leave Artyomovsk on May 10 to recuperate.
Ramzan Kadyrov said that Akhmat special forces units are ready to replace them.
