Prigozhin: PMC “Wagner” received 10 million applications for membership from the Americans

The head of the Wagner PMC, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that Wagner had received “10 million requests to join from the Americans.” The statement was released by his press office in response to a question from CNN about the reasons for stopping the recruitment of prisoners.
“After the release of the PMC Wagner advertisement aimed at the American audience, we received more than 10 million applications from US citizens wishing to join the Wagner PMC to fight against NATO,” Prigozhin said.
According to him, the PMC is considering “about a million American citizens” for admission to its ranks. Because of this, “the recruitment of volunteers from prisons was temporarily suspended.” However, if “there is an appeal from the State Department,” the PMC will recruit volunteers from American prisons.
