PMC “Wagner” does not need pictures of Chinese satellites, since the organization has its own equipment. This was stated by the founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin.
“We don’t have any need to buy satellite imagery. PMC “Wagner” for a year and a half has almost two dozen satellites, some of which are radar, and the rest are optical, – quotes Prigozhin press service.
He ironically noted that the US State Department “has fallen a bit in time.” Prigozhin also added that Wagner has the ability to “observe all parts of the world, including the US State Department.”
On the eve of February 28, US Assistant Secretary of State for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Daniel Kritenbrink explained that the Chinese Spacety Co was sanctioned due to cooperation with the Wagner PMC. According to the US, she gave the Terra-Tech company, which the State Department claims is connected to PMCs, satellite images of the territory of Ukraine.
The United States imposed restrictions on the Chinese company on February 24 this year. At the same time, several organizations from Canada were included in the “black” list. Terra-Tech has been under US sanctions since January, and Wagner since 2017. In addition, Washington acknowledged PMC “transnational criminal organization”.
