Prigozhin announced the complete release of Soledar

The city of Soledar in the DPR is completely liberated from the Ukrainian army. This was announced by the founder of PMC “Wagner” Yevgeny Prigozhin.

“Once again I want to confirm the complete liberation and cleansing of the territory of Soledar from units of the Ukrainian army. Civilians were withdrawn, Ukrainian units that did not want to surrender were destroyed, ”- leads his words to the press service in the Telegram channel.

Prigozhin also said that the humanitarian corridor “is out of the question.” He clarified that Wagner has now begun cleaning up the salt mines in the city.

On the night of January 11, the RIA Novosti agency published footage of the liberated salt mines in Soledar, the photo also shows Prigozhin. It was noted that the Wagner fighters were able to take control of the mines after fierce fighting. Prigogine declaredthat under the control of “Wagner” is the entire territory of Soledar. He stressed that other units did not participate in the storming of the city.

Acting Head of the DPR Denis Pushilin informed about the taking of Soledar under control on the night of January 11. He pointed to the serious losses of the Ukrainian army.

In the next report of the Ministry of Defense saysthat Russian troops blocked the city from the north and south. At the same time, the department reported that the liberation of Soledar was carried out by airborne units, the Russian Aerospace Forces were also striking at enemy strongholds, and assault squads were fighting in the city.

The Kremlin urged to wait for official information about taking control of Soledar. At the same time, the press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov noted positive dynamics in the conduct of the special operation.
