Priests explained why they approved prayer singing for job search

The members of the Holy Synod, during their regular meeting on May 17, decided to approve prayer singing for those suffering from hemophilia and on the occasion of finding a job.
Father Stakhiy Kolotvin told MK about why the bishops chose such themes for prayer chants and why the prayers of the saints are written only now.
As the priest explained, the prayer service on the occasion of finding a job was composed due to the fact that now this problem has become more urgent than in many previous years.
“Parishioners often turn to me with a request to recommend a prayer for one or another life event,” Father Stakhiy continues. – Deeply churched people know that they can pray in their own way, but many others need a special prayer for each situation. Now there is prayer singing for those who have lost their jobs – it is short and concise, easy to remember.
The origin of prayer singing for hemophiliacs is also explained by the fact that many people mistakenly believe that saints have a specialization.
– It’s not like that: you can turn to any saint with any request. Nevertheless, it is easier for believers to think that if they pray to a holy baby who suffered from hemophilia, then they will sooner get better than if they pray to someone else.
