Krasnodar resident Irina Akopova, who complained to Russian President Vladimir Putin during his “direct line” about the rise in price of chicken eggs, said that immediately after the television broadcast prices went down.
Let us recall that the head of state apologized for the rise in prices for eggs and explained that they began to rise in price because the income of the population increased, and production remained at the same level, while the issue of imports was not resolved in time. Putin also promised that the situation with egg prices would improve.
“People call and say that prices for eggs have been lowered at our market,” Akopova said, adding that prices for chicken wings have also dropped.
According to her, at the market in the Pashkovsky microdistrict of Krasnodar, eggs cost 220 rubles per dozen, but now the price has dropped to 180 rubles. She added that the authorities of the Karasun district of Krasnodar and the prosecutor had already contacted her and offered to go together to retail outlets and fix food prices.
