A club for children and teenagers “Sport is Our Choice” will open at the Doverie social service center in Salekhard. This was reported to the correspondent of “MK Yamal” on July 11 in the department of social protection of the population of the YNAO.
In the new space, children in difficult life situations – the wards of the Doverie Center – will be able to spend their leisure time with benefit. Particular emphasis will be placed on sports activities.
“Children will be able to attend master classes and training if they wish. There is no need to go to the club according to the schedule. Our goal is to interest, show how you can spend your holidays or time after school in an interesting and productive way. If the child wants to come with a friend, we will help everyone find something to their liking. The project will become another good tool in the prevention of neglect,” commented Svetlana Yar, director of the Salekhard Center “Doverie”.
The club is expected to open before the end of the year. Air hockey, a virtual reality helmet, table tennis equipment and other equipment will be purchased for the institution. Specialists of sports organizations will be involved in the classes.
