On Wednesday, the Moscow Regional Court continued its consideration of the high-profile case of Alexander Mavridi, the murderer of the “sausage king” Vladimir Marugov, who escaped in a group from a temporary detention facility near Moscow. At the meeting, the results of the medical examination of the gangster were announced.
As the MK reporter reported from the courtroom, the commission of experts came to the conclusion that Mavridi did not suffer from a mental disorder, dementia and other morbid conditions that would deprive him of the ability to realize the social danger of his actions related to the time of the incriminated acts. He has emotional instability, borderline personality disorder.
Specialists described the peculiarity of the personality of the accused quite clearly: emotional instability, increased excitability, conflict, manipulative behavior, blackmail form of response. This diagnostic conclusion was confirmed as a result of the survey, which revealed in Mavridi: categoricalness, emotionally colored judgments, demonstrativeness, pretentiousness, opposition.
Just as the analysis of the materials of the criminal case showed, Mavridi did not show signs of any mental disorder. His actions were consistent, purposeful, complexly organized. Therefore, he could be aware of the actual and social nature of his actions, and manage them.
