The President of Russia took part in the opening ceremony of the Vysokogorsky automobile bridge in the Krasnoyarsk Territory. Vladimir Putin participated in the ceremony via videoconference during a meeting on the development of the region. He said: “I allow it.”
The bridge, which is the northernmost automobile crossing over the Yenisei River, creates a year-round sustainable transport connection with the North Yenisei region. This area is inaccessible to car traffic for a significant part of the year.
The construction of the bridge was launched in 2020 as part of the Safe and High-Quality Roads national project. The entire project cost 7 billion rubles. The bridge provides for a speed of about 80 kilometers per hour on a two-lane road with asphalt concrete surface, which will provide comfortable conditions for road transport.
