According to him, now the army of the United States of America has signed a contract for the supply of a new rifle complex, which includes weapons and ammunition.
“In this complex, the caliber of the bullet is 6.8 mm. We, in turn, are also considering the possibility of increasing the main caliber. Currently, there are completely different solutions for personal protection and technology. We will work in this direction,” Lushnikov said.
He clarified that the new caliber may appear in the rifle complex during the development of new military equipment called Legionnaire.
