Powerlifting cup in memory of Vyacheslav Leonov was held in Ulan-Ude

In Ulan-Ude, in the sports complex of the Buryat State University, a powerlifting cup was held in memory of senior police lieutenant Vyacheslav Leonov, who died in the line of duty. The competitions are held for the sixth time, the press service of the National Guard of Buryatia reports.
The department of private security of the National Guard of Buryatia established a challenge cup especially for the winning team. This year the competition brought together more than a hundred participants from six teams.
The Cup of the Republic in powerlifting and classical powerlifting was held in the individual and team championship among men and women in four disciplines – triathlon, triathlon classic, bench press and bench press classic. Yury Razuvaev, CCM in powerlifting, was the chief referee of the tournament. The winner of the competition was the team of Youth Sports School No. 3, the second place was taken by the sports club “Medved”, the third place was taken by the participants of the sports club of BSU.
The commander of the private security battalion of the National Guard of the OVO in Ulan-Ude, police lieutenant colonel Bair Prushenov, presented the challenge cup and letters of thanks to the organizers of the tournament.
– Our colleague senior police lieutenant Vyacheslav Viktorovich Leonov served in private security and OMON “Krechet”, went in for sports a lot, trained children, – said Bair Prushenov. – We thank the organizers of the tournament for the memory of our colleague.
