Against the backdrop of a personnel shortage among top managers, the proportion of women and young candidates has increased, according to a new Rosexpert report dedicated to Top Manager Day. The largest age group is people from 40 to 50 years old. At the same time, three representatives of relatively young specialists (35–40 years old) appeared in the ranks of the CEO. The share of women now reaches 5%. Almost half (46%) of managers have been in their position for less than 3 years. 65% grew up within a single company or group of companies. This is 14 p.p. less than two years earlier. Experts associate the intensive renewal of top management with the desire of companies to find people with new competencies or experience in conditions of economic turbulence. In addition, under the influence of a shortage of managers, companies have become more open to appointments that they were not previously willing to approve. The review included current CEOs of the 100 largest companies in Russia by net profit (according to the Forbes 2023 ranking).
