Popova: swine flu returned to Russia after 6 years

The head of Rospotrebnadzor, Anna Popova, at a meeting with the Cabinet of Ministers, told Russian President Vladimir Putin that a tense situation with influenza has developed in the country.
She stated that H1N1 swine flu has returned to Russia. The spread of this strain can be resisted by four domestic vaccines.
“Today, six years later, the last time it (H1n1 flu – ed.) showed high numbers in the 2015-2016 season, it returned to the Russian Federation and is prevalent today,” Popova said.
Previously Popova declaredthat 52.2% of the population took part in the completed mass vaccination campaign. But you can still get vaccinated by doctor’s prescription or at your own request.
The swine flu that has become widespread in the country is different from other viruses, a sharp deterioration in well-being, headache, muscle aches and high fever. A characteristic complication was noted – a decrease in blood clotting.
