Pope calls for opening additional humanitarian corridors in Gaza

“Let humanitarian rights be respected, especially in the Gaza Strip, where it is urgent and necessary to guarantee humanitarian corridors to help the entire population,” he said during an address at the Vatican.
Francis said the Palestinian group Hamas needed to free the Israeli hostages. He also called “not to shed innocent blood” and to stop wars around the world, the agency adds.
