A delegation of Russian deputies led by Volodin arrived in Vietnam

The Russian delegation, headed by State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin, arrived on an official visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, TASS reported on Sunday.
Russia and Vietnam plan to develop cooperation in the field of geological exploration, oil and gas production. Also, the two countries continue to strengthen educational ties.
During the visit, scheduled for Monday, the second meeting of the interparliamentary commission on cooperation between the Russian State Duma and the National Assembly of Vietnam will take place. Parliamentarians will discuss issues of legislative support for cooperation in such areas as energy, information technology, agriculture, transport, higher education, science, financial and interbank cooperation.
The Russian delegation includes First Vice-Speaker Ivan Melnikov, Deputy Chairman Alexander Babakov, chairmen of the committees on information policy, Alexander Khinshtein, on health protection, Badma Bashankaev, on science and higher education, Sergei Kabyshev, as well as representatives of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Russian Federation.
Meetings with the Chairman of the National Assembly of Vietnam Vuong Dinh Hue and the country’s leadership are also planned as part of this visit.
