British singer and ex-Take That member Robbie Williams has become president of the English football club Port Vale.
The team from the city of Stoke-on-Trent, where the singer was born, plays in the third strongest division in the country. Port Vale are currently 20th in the league table.
“My life is unusual and beautiful, it has had many twists and turns,” noted the pop idol of generations, commenting on the new position. “Being named president is something special,” Williams, 49, added on social media.
It is known that the singer is a big football fan. So, on June 14, 2018, he spoke at the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Russia.
