Two attackers threw Molotov cocktails onto the site, but the fire was quickly extinguished. Both attackers were detained and the ballot papers were not damaged.
More than 3,400 polling stations were opened in Guatemala on Sunday for the presidential elections. Candidates for the post of head of state are Sandra Torres from the National Union of Hope (NUN) party and Bernardo Arevalo from the Seed movement.
