Poll: Middle-aged Germans fear the future

According to the Institute for Public Opinion Research in Allensbach, middle-aged German citizens say their lives have deteriorated in recent years, many are afraid of the future.
As follows from a poll conducted in September this year, the middle generation of Germans fears for their future, they fear that their social status will worsen due to the energy crisis.
Thus, only 14% of the Germans surveyed believe that the country’s authorities will be able to overcome the consequences of the energy crisis. Nearly three-quarters of respondents said they had little or no confidence in the government coalition’s anti-crisis management.
Sociologists called the poll results alarming.
- 51% of respondents are very apprehensive about the coming months;
- 27% – skepticism.
