Residents of Budapest protested to demand Orban’s resignation

Last weekend there was a rally in the center of Budapest. Thousands of Hungarians took part in a massive protest, demanding that Prime Minister Viktor Orban resign, Politico reported.

The organizer of the protest was 42-year-old lawyer Peter Madr. He said that the current Prime Minister considers Hungary his property, but the country’s population is not going to obey him. The lawyer emphasized that citizens came to the city center against the oligarchic system in which rich people “earn money” through illegal government contracts.

Earlier, on March 26, a mass rally was held in Budapest demanding the resignation of Viktor Orban and Prosecutor General Peter Polt.
