Peskov said that businesses are pursuing opportunities to challenge sanctions

The decision of the European Union Court to lift sanctions against the founders of Alfa Group, entrepreneurs Pyotr Aven and Mikhail Fridman, is a separate case, and it “must be taken separately.” This is how Kremlin official Dmitry Peskov commented on the corresponding decision of the EU Court on April 10.

According to the president’s press secretary, representatives of big business can challenge such decisions in court.

“We consider all these sanctions illegal, unfair and destructive,” Peskov said, adding that they “disgrace the authorities that adopted them.”

Let us remind you that on April 10 it became known that The European Court of Justice ruled to abolish personal sanctions in relation to Russian businessmen Mikhail Fridman and Peter Aven. The ruling of the judicial authority also stated that the Council of the EU must pay them the costs associated with challenging the decision to be included in the sanctions list.

The lawyers, in turn, stated that the initial imposition restrictive measures on entrepreneurs were wrong and counterproductive.
