Newspaper Politicociting its own sources, reported that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz turned to Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban and asked him to leave the room where the leaders of the European Union countries were voting on the start of negotiations on Ukraine’s membership.
It is clarified that Scholz advised Orban to go out and have a coffee at a time when discussions on this issue had reached a dead end.
“Scholz suggested that if Orbán really does not want to agree to start negotiations, then he should consider leaving the room. Such a decision would allow the leaders of European countries to decide in favor of starting negotiations with Kiev,” the newspaper noted.
