In a new package of anti-Russian sanctions, the European Union intends to impose restrictions on 169 organizations that provide goods for the Russian military-industrial complex (MIC). Politico reports.
It is noted that the sanctions will be imposed precisely against those organizations that provide goods that “help contribute to the technological improvement of the defense and security sectors of Russia.” The purpose of the new restrictions is to prevent the “strengthening of the industrial potential of Russia.”
Thus, restrictions will affect engines for unmanned aerial vehicles, chemical and biological equipment, as well as electronic components and means for suppressing riots.
It is also reported that as part of the ninth package of sanctions against Russia, the broadcasting of Russian state channels – Channel One, Russia 1, NTV and REN TV may be limited.
