Abakan city court fined 20 thousand rubles. for violating the picketing procedure (part 2 of article 20.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation) of political strategist Mikhail Biyun. This was reported to Kommersant in court.

The report on an administrative offense was drawn up by a police officer on 26 August. On the same day he was sent to the city court, and on the same day a decision was made.

On August 19, a pig was released into the street in Abakan. On one side was depicted a sickle and a hammer, on the other it was written “The life expectancy of pigs is growing.” As it turned out, Mikhail Biyun was the organizer of this action.

It caused indignation of the head of the region, communist Valentin Konovalov, who was nominated for a second term in the September elections. “Our political opponents desecrated the sacred symbol that is placed on the Banner of Victory, the symbol under which the Red Army smashed the Nazi invaders. They defiled our history, our memory. In addition, they abused animals. They created the risk of an accident, ”he said then. Head of the Republic addressed in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Khakassia, demanding “to bring to justice the scum who committed this dirty provocation.”

According to the city court, during the consideration of the case, Mikhail Biyun pleaded guilty and said that he repented of his act.

In September, several major election campaigns will end in Abakan. Citizens will elect the head of the republic, deputies of its parliament and city council.
