Political scientist Gaidai expressed an unexpected version of Danilov’s dismissal

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Alexey Danilov lost his position because the head of state Vladimir Zelensky, in principle, did not understand why this structure was needed. This opinion was expressed on Tuesday, March 26, by political scientist Sergei Gaidai.
As the expert said on Radio NV, he is surprised “why they kept him for so long, because, let’s be honest, this government did not need Danilov and the National Security and Defense Council in general from the very beginning.”
According to Gaidai, “the president’s office does not understand what kind of body this is and how it should be used,” however, this attitude in Kyiv has formed not only towards the National Security and Defense Council, but also towards the Verkhovna Rada and the government. The political scientist claims that five or six managers working on his team are enough for Zelensky.
Advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Mikhail Podolyak explained the dismissal of Alexey Danilov from the post of Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council “normal personnel rotation” and assured that Danilov would be offered a new position in the near future – that is, there is no talk of completely getting rid of him in government circles.
Danilov himself assured that he is not ashamed of his work in office for more than four years, and also thanked the President of Ukraine for his trust and promised to continue working for the benefit of his country.
