Polish Ministry of Defense: the first Abrams tanks will arrive from the US in the spring

In 2023, the Polish army will receive the first 58 American M1 Abrams tanks. This was announced on Thursday, January 26, by the Minister of Defense of the Republic, Mariusz Blaschak.
“This year, 58 Abrams will get to Poland. In the spring, the first copies,” – said the head of the department.
At the same time, Blaschak noted that we are not talking about the most modern Abrams. These are machines that have previously been used by the American army. Warsaw intends to replace them with T-72 tanks, which were transferred to Ukraine.
Earlier, Poland signed a contract for the supply of 250 Abrams tanks. Warsaw later acquired 116 more used Abrams.
The day before, US President Joe Biden announced that Washington would send 31 Abrams tanks to Ukraine. In turn, Germany and other European countries intend to supply Kyiv with Leopard tanks.
