Polish midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak terminated the contract with the Russian football club Krasnodar. He told the Meczyki portal about this. Grzegorz Krychowiak explained this decision with his position in relation to the hostilities that Russia is conducting in Ukraine.

“After the information appeared that there was such a possibility, the decision was clear. I didn’t want to go back there, so I called my agent to let the club know that I wanted to leave. After the start of the war, my position was firm from the very beginning, so there was no point in continuing it, for example, looking for something else, ”said Krychowiak.

The contract of the Polish footballer with the Krasnodar club was valid until the summer of 2024. In accordance with the new FIFA rules in the summer of 2022, he left the Russian Premier League until the summer of this year, signing a contract with the Saudi club Al-Shabab.

Grzegorz Krychowiak is 33 years old. He began playing for Krasnodar after he left Lokomotiv Moscow in the summer of 2021. As part of Krasnodar, he played 15 matches in which he scored 5 goals and made 2 assists.
